Fiona Oakes
Fiona Oakes is an ultramarathon runner and the owner of Tower Hill Stables, a 550-animal strong sanctuary in Essex. She has been vegan for almost five decades. At the age of 17, doctors told Fiona she would never be able to run again due to a problem with her kneecap, which was eventually removed. Since then, she has gone on to claim four Guiness World Records, running in races through the Sahara Desert and polar ice caps in an endeavour to prove that being vegan is a healthy choice and kinder to both animals and the environment.
