Vegan cactus leather
Entrepreneurs Adrián López Velarde and Marte Cázarez founded Desserto back in 2019.
The duo says its cactus leather took two years to develop. Moreover, it has ‘competitive features compared to animal or synthetic leather, like sustainability, performance, and aesthetics’.
Since its debut, Desserto has won a slew of awards such as the 2020 Green Product Award and the LVMH Innovation Award 2020
It has also partnered with several fashion companies including footwear brand CLAE.
