Top plant-based doctors reveal their favorite vegan dinners in this exclusive Plant Based News video.
Medics including Dr. Neal Barnard, Dr. Shireen Kassam, and Dr. Michael Klaper are among those divulging their top dishes among others.
Vegan sushi
Dr. Barnard says: “I am a big fan of vegan sushi. It’s not that hard to make. Some people use avocado, or lots of other vegetables. For me, I tend to just stick with simple things like cucumbers.
“I roll them up in nori with some rice, and you have a little wasabi on there to give it some kick, and dip it in soy sauce.”

Lentil Bolognese
Dr. Gemma Newman adds: “My favorite evening meal is a lentil Bolognese. It’s so easy to make. I use a Happy Pear recipe from their book Recipes for Happiness.
“All you have to do is bung in some onions, some garlic, a bit of celery and carrots. You saute it, add in a tin of chopped tomatoes, and a tin of pre-cooked lentils. Then you add in a liter of veg stock, bung in the pasta as well, just chuck it all in a pan and let it cook, then when it’s ready just add some nutritional yeast, maybe a bit of soy sauce for a bit of an extra punch. The kids love it and I love it too.”
