Singer-songwriter Hayley Williams has baked vegan cookies for a plant-based charity.

The Paramore star posted a story to her 2.7 million Instagram followers while making oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. She captioned the post: “[My] phone is covered in flour.”

The baked goods, which Williams described as vegan and gluten-free, are to be donated to Support + Feed – an organization spearheaded by Billie Eilish’s mom Maggie Baird.

“Go Hailey. These look amazing!” Baird wrote on Instagram.

Plant-based charity

Baird founded Support + Feed earlier this year to help those ‘greatly impacted’ by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as to support vegan restaurants in the Los Angeles area.

The charity has since expanded its US presence – with volunteers now working in New York, Washington D.C, and Philadelphia.

It has widened its mission to help people experiencing food insecurity, particularly in BIPOC and other communities – focusing on four main goals: nourish those in need, provide education, support the small business community, and positively impact the climate crisis.

Earlier this month, Williams joined Baird on an Instagram live to discuss her cruelty-free haircare brand Good Dye, plant-based eating, and mental health.

Speaking about her ‘plant-based life’, the celeb said: “It’s such a journey that I’ve gone up and down with.

“Now I’m 32 and in Nashville, there’s more vegan awareness [and] there are more plant-based restaurants in town. “

Williams then concluded: “There’s a lot of education that I’ve been able to acquire and learning about how it affects our economy alone and how sustainable it is to eat without eating meat. [But] I’m still learning about it.”
