Zero-waste beauty brand, Ethique, is to launch its vegan range in major UK retailer, Holland & Barrett, this month.

Ethqiue, who describes itself as ‘the world’s most sustainable lifestyle brand’, creates zero-waste ‘bars’ for a wide range of hair, face, and body products.

The plastic-free brand also sells vegan shampoo and conditioner bars for dogs – and a solid laundry bar and stain remover.

‘Doesn’t that seem ridiculous?’

“Up to 90 percent of a typical conditioner can be water, doesn’t that seem ridiculous? We thought so, which is why we removed water and plastic bottles in favor of packaging functional ingredients in a bar form,” the brand’s website states.

“Each bar you use is the equivalent to at least three bottles of the equivalent. This means on average, every bar saves just under one liter of water.”

‘Sustainably produced’

Ethique also avoids using palm oil in its products ‘due to the havoc it is wreaking on the environment’ and states all ingredients must be
‘healthy and safe to use, cruelty-free, [and] sustainably produced’ to be used.

The brand announced the news it will be available in UK Holland & Barrett stores from July 17 on Instagram – and confirmed its products will also be available on the retailer’s website.
