Actor Thandie Newton – currently starring in Solo: A Star Wars Story – has recently transitioned to veganism, thanks to Co-star Woody Harrelson.

Newton revealed the news in a joint interview with Harrelson for the Associated Press, promoting the new movie.

Harrelson – who has been vegan since his twenties – displayed great stamina and tenacity despite his gruelling schedule, according to Newton.

‘Off the charts’

She said: “He’d finished work and rushed off to do some photoshoot because unbelievably, the amount of work Woody had to do outside of our movie with other films coming out, he’s had such an incredible run of fantastically good work.

“He came back and showed us a picture of his photo on the photoshoot on his phone and he was hand standing.

“This yoga is like, off the charts. Off the charts.”

Vegan in the mix

She added: “I think it’s good to have a vegan in the mix…a vegan in a position of power.

“I have been vegan since working with Woody, for the last four months. It hasn’t done anything to my brain, I’m absolutely fine, thanks so much.”

She went onto praise Harrelson for the ‘adorable youth’ he has to him, teasing him for being ‘old enough to be everyone’s father’.
