Vegan musician Moby has revealed that he will no longer tour – saying there are ‘so many other things’ he would prefer to do with his life – in a recent interview.

Moby, who often promotes animal causes, and has lobbied for legislative change with animal welfare charities has previously described animal rights as his ‘day job’ – despite selling more than 20 million records worldwide.

His tour schedule in recent years has slimmed down – in 2016, his only appearance was at his vegan festival Circle V – but his comments suggest he plans to stop completely.

Satisfying

Speaking about touring he said: “Even sitting backstage for someone else’s tour made me never want to go on tour again. I toured for such a long time. There are so many other things to do in life.

“To stay home and to go hiking and have dinner with my friends and to work on politics and activism and music, and sleep in my own bed and wake up every morning and make a smoothie…

“None of that is lucrative. But it’s so much more satisfying.”
