Vegan celebrity Moby has used his large platform to share an animal rights message.
The musician and writer took to Instagram to post an image of himself holding a sign that says: “Love animals. Don’t eat them.”
Moby, who has 344,000 followers on the platform, often shares pro-vegan messages with his audience.

Alongside the image, he wrote: “I mean, apart from the fact that animal products cause heart disease and diabetes and cancer, and that animal agriculture causes 90 percent of rainforest deforestation and 45 percent of climate change, and that animal ag is responsible for 75 percent of antibiotic resistance, I’m a vegan and animal rights activist mainly because I love animals and can’t be involved in anything that causes or contributes to their suffering.”
Vegan for the animals
This isn’t the first time Moby has shared a pro-animal message. Last Summer he took to Twitter to inform his 1.2 million followers that he’s ‘vegan for the animals’.
He shared an image from a gathering of the Physician’s Committee For Responsible Medicine (PCRM) at The White House on Friday, in which hundreds of plant-based doctors were photographed standing behind a banner which read ‘go vegan’.
Moby’s caption said: “1,000 vegan doctors from @physicianscommittee gathered outside Cheetolini’s White House.
“I’m #Vegan for the animals, but it doesn’t hurt that a vegan diet reduces your chances of getting cancer, heart disease, and diabetes by at LEAST 50 percent.”
