Former Made in Chelsea celeb Lucy Watson has backed Italian fashion house Gucci in its pledge to go fur-free next year.

The 26-year-old model, who is also vegan and an animal rights activist, has taken to Instagram to express her delight over the luxury brand’s recent move.

‘Grateful’

She wrote in an Instagram story: “Thank you so much Gucci for stopping the use of fur in your collections.

“The animals and I are forever grateful.”

This follows Gucci’s recent announcement that it will ditch fur completely in 2018, in a bid to become more sustainable.

Gucci’s CEO said: “Being socially responsible is one of Gucci’s core values, and we will continue to strive to do better for the environment and animals.”
