Vegan stars Kat Von D and Sadie Sink have joined the cast of animal rights documentary Dominion as narrators.
The feature-length film directed by Chris Delforce and co-produced by Earthlings Director Shaun Monson focuses on how animals are used and abused in Australia, and features footage from abattoirs and farms. Other narrators include Joaquin Phoenix, Rooney Mara, and Sia.
The team announced the news via the film’s Facebook page, saying: “Two additional narrators have been confirmed for Dominion – Sadie Sink, best known for her role as Max in Netflix’s Stranger Things, and Kat Von D: tattoo artist, model, musician, entrepreneur, and television personality. Both great advocates for animals who we’re so proud to have on board.”

The film has been screening across Australia. It will make its highly anticipated UK debut next month, in a premiere co-hosted by Plant Based News and Surge Activism.
The team also revealed they are looking at how to distribute the film following the screenings, adding: “We’re pursuing an opportunity for one last narrator while putting the final touches on the film, and expect to have it sent for DVD replication and distribution later this month.
“Digital/online distribution should follow shortly afterwards, though we’re taking the time to make sure it’s done right, in order to reach as many people as possible.”

Nothing held back
Director Chris Delforce told PBN Founder Klaus Mitchell that he didn’t ‘pull any punches’ with respect to the film’s content – describing the footage as the ‘raw truth of what’s happening’ to the animals.
He said: “I’m not going to try to water that down, I feel like that’s doing an injustice to the victims.”
Delforce described footage of animals who hadn’t ‘been stunned properly’ having their throats slit ‘fully or partly conscious, feeling, and seeing, and hearing all of it’.
The film is thematically comparable to Earthlings – a true-to-life depiction of the abuse of animals – but is expected to pack an extra punch with its up-to-date-footage, celebrity narrators, and improved production value.
