Vegan festival Vevolution will return to London on November 25 – and this year the ‘TED talks’-style event will offer budding entrepreneurs a chance to win cash for their vegan business ideas.

Vevolution, at the prestigious Royal Institution in Mayfair, will host a Dragon’s Den-style panel called Pitch + Plant – the UK’s first ever plant-based business investment challenge at a UK vegan festival.

Money

Entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to pitch to investors for a chance to win £1,500.00 – plus mentorship from BRAN Investments, a family business dedicated to supporting young entrepreneurs, and has a passion for helping the world adopt a more sustainable and vegan lifestyle.

The runner-up will receive a £500.00 prize.

Six businesses will be selected beforehand to pitch to the investors at the festival. 

Startups can apply by filling in this form. Please note that applications must be made by October 27.

Entrepreneurs

The plant-based business entrepreneurs choosing the winners on the day will include Ram Goyal Partner Bran Investments, Hospitality Entrepreneur Loui Blake, and Laura Way, Founder of Votch.

On the creation of Pitch + Plant, Ashish Goyal, Partner at BRAN Investments said: “We want to support businesses that help make the world a better place. 

“Our experience of Vevolution events have shown it to be a hotbed of innovative ideas and full of entrepreneurs creating great businesses.

“Pitch +Plant will give early stage businesses a chance to win prize money, potential for further funding and more importantly get mentoring to help them get their business achieve greater success.”
