‘Go Vegan – It Is The Only Way To Save Our Planet’ Says Lewis Hamilton

Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton says adopting a vegan diet is the ‘only way to truly save our planet’.

He shared the message via a post on Instagram stories, in which he described the world as ‘a messed up place’ adding that world leaders are ‘either uneducated or don’t care about the environment at all’, according to Sky News.

Finding meaning

“It’s taken me 32 years to understand the impact I’m having on this world and I’m figuring out daily what I can do to play a better part,” Hamilton wrote on Instagram Stories.

He added that until recently, his life had no meaning, but now that he feels he is part of the solution, it does. He then called on his followers to learn about their impact on the planet, writing: “I urge you to do some research and find the compassion I know you have within you to recognize in terms of what you eat.”

‘Go vegan’

He went on to say that the meat and dairy industry is responsible for ‘deforestation…animal cruelty…our seas and climate decaying on a daily basis’.

“Go vegan, it is the only way to truly save the planet today,” he added. “It can be done so quickly, all you have to do is put your mind to it.”
