Outspoken vegan singer Miley Cyrus accidentally ‘stole’ Woody Allen’s niece’s companion animal dog.

The celeb found the dog at a Los Angeles grocery store, and thinking he was a stray, she brought him home to join her other 13 companion animals.

At her partner Liam Hemsworth’s persistence, Cyrus began tracking down the dog’s humans – although she ‘didn’t want them to find it [the dog]’, she told The Sun.

Woody Allen’s niece

The animal lover said she called once, but didn’t leave a voicemail. But her boyfriend insisted that ‘No you have to call, you’ve now stolen someone’s dog!,’ recalled the singer.

“It was actually Woody Allen’s niece. So I was like, ‘Oh God, now she’s going to call Woody Allen and tell him I stole her dog!’

“It was the weirdest thing. I just found her dog,” she added.
