A pair of vegan activists have launched a free-to-use archive of photographs and footage of animal exploitation called Moving Animals in a bid to progress the animal rights movement.
The resource, which will continually grow, currently contains more than 500 images which have been accrued over the last 10 months across Sri Lanka, India, and the UK.
It was created by activists and photographers Amy and Paul who met whilst working for PETA UK (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). They started documenting animal exploitation around the world after receiving support from the Culture and Animals Foundation.
Effective storytelling
According to the couple, the images and footage have already been featured by some of the most prominent news platforms, animal charities, and social media channels, including the likes of UNILAD, The Independent, PETA and Mail Online.
“We believe that powerful visuals and effective storytelling have the power to change mindsets, and so every view we receive holds the promise to make the world a kinder world for animals, one person at a time,” they said in a statement sent to Plant Based News.
“It is our hope that our photographs and footage help to tell the stories of animals that are usually forced to stay silent.”
You can view the archive here – all the content is free-to-use for organizations, activists, media desks, and social media platforms, but should be credited to Moving Animals.
