Vegan climate activist, Greta Thunberg, has made TIME Magazine’s Influential People Of 2019 list, for her efforts demanding political action to save the environment.

‘The world’s greatest leadership communities’

Thunberg, who has also been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, joins the likes of US politician, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and primatologist, Jane Goodall, who were also featured in the ‘TIME 100’.

“Now in its 16th year, the TIME 100 is far more than an annual list of the world’s most influential people. It is, across its more than 1,000 alumni, one of the world’s greatest leadership communities—a unique mix spanning government, business, entertainment, health, sports, and science,” TIME’s website states.

‘We see our power in her’

Categorized under the ‘leaders’ section, Thunberg’s profile, written by Emma González, Co-Founder of March for Our Lives, reads: “Climate change is our reality, and youth activists like Greta are doing everything within their power to work against it, and demand a change.

“Greta Thunberg saw her power in us, and we, in turn, see our power in her. Fighting in her home country, Sweden, for a future free from pollution, environmental degradation, and climate change, Greta is inspiring steadfast students and shaming apathetic adults.”
