Vegan activist Joey Carbstrong has released a video which shows him disguising as farmer in order to enter a livestock auction and record footage.
Carbstrong made headlines across the UK’s mainstream media earlier this year after appearing on television to discuss the dairy industry during its Veganuary-inspired initiative Februdairy.
In recent months, he has been touring with Australian documentary Dominion. This new video is part of his Dominion Tour advocacy.

After buying a checked shirt and cowboy hat, Carbstrong makes his way to the auction. He says: “We’re all dressed up, we’re going to see if we can get in [to the auction] and get some footage. I don’t really like dressing up as a cowboy, but you do what you have to do to get in and get the good footage. Let’s do it.”
After the event, he says it’s was ‘hard’ to stand through, as all the animals were extremely scared and very young. “They were trying to comfort each other,” says Carbstrong.
“[The] humans were just standing around them, bidding on them, and selling their bodies…they are property with no rights and were being sold to people to be slaughtered and chopped up into pieces.”
