Made In Chelsea star Tiffany Watson has announced she will be opening a vegan restaurant.

The star let the news slip in the first episode of the 14th season of the popular reality show.

Watson was house hunting with Chelsea resident (and erstwhile villian) Harry Baron, when she said of one luxury apartment: “I can imagine coming home here after a long day working in my vegan restaurant.”

Referencing her recent break-up with Sam Thompson, after a three year relationship, she added: “Everyone thinks I’m opening a restaurant and buying a new place because of breaking up with Sam.

“I am doing it for myself.”

Speaking later in the episode to cast mates Sam Prince and Olivia Bentley, Watson added: “So me and my family are opening a vegan restaurant, so obviously you guys have to come.

“I am so excited. I don’t want just vegans to come.”

Prince asked the star whether she ‘only dates vegans’.

She answered: “I would love to date a vegan. I had a dream about this the other night – I met a hot vegan.”

During the episode, some of the characters criticized the star for being vegan.

Canadian Mimi Bouchard said: “I thought vegans were meant to be peaceful and kind. Tiffany has been disgustingly rude to me.”

Bouchard went on to write a blog post about how veganism ‘is not right for everyone’.

Watson responded: “She should have called [the article] ‘why I hate Tiffany’.”

Tiffany’s older sister Lucy Watson is also vegan, and active in promoting the movement.

She released a cookbook earlier this year called Feed Me Vegan, and also recently teamed up with animal rights group Surge to make a video about fur farming.

In addition, the pair will be speaking at London vegan festival Vevolution in November.
