In addition to his ‘entirely’ plant-based diet, Colley said he exercises ‘at least’ once a day and dances for more than two hours.

The 23-year-old, who has more than 300,000 TikTok followers, regularly posts dance videos and supportive messages about self-love.

He made the lifestyle change for his mind, body, wellness and ‘impact on the environment’.

In an Instagram post, he wrote: “It’s brought me to a place of clarity, has reshaped my mindset and how I look at a lot things…I love to share the things I make that hopefully can make others smile as well as myself.”

Social media

Donté Colley is among a swathe of prominent figures to share the benefits of plant-based diets on the social media platform.

Among them are Riverdale‘s Madelaine Petsch and Cody Kearsley. They also include reality stars Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian.

TikTok is another platform that has seen spotlights shed on vegan lifestyles – from the likes of Tabitha Brown, who rose to fame since posted her carrot ‘bacon’ recipe to the now-banned animal rights advocate That Vegan Teacher.
