Iconic musician Bryan Adams has been vegan for many years – and doesn’t shy away from promoting the benefits of a plant-based diet.
The star recently took to Instagram to share his thoughts on veganism, saying: “I stopped eating animals including fish when I was 28 and I’ve never looked back.
“You can get all the protein you need from plants.”
‘Change’
Referencing the growth of the movement, Adams added: “It’s great to see the change that is happening as people embrace a more plant-based diet, but we still have a long way to go.
“If you want to see your health improve and you care about the planet, go vegan.
“PS: you can’t be a true environmentalist if you eat animals.”
Animals
As well as talking about his health and the health of the planet, Adams also cares deeply about animals.
Speaking to animal rights charity PETA, he said: “Being sympathetic to animal rights is just something that came very naturally to me.
“Perhaps because I used to have dogs growing up, and you know they became part of the family. And it never occurred to me growing up. I never put the whole thing of animal cruelty and that together as a youngster.
“But the moment I began to understand what was going on with the treatment of animals, it led me more and more in the way of the path I am [on] now, which is a complete vegan.”
