Vegan musician and animal rights activist Moby has been called ‘amazing’ after announcing he will donate $250,000 to a number of vegan and animal welfare organizations.

The 52-year-old celeb, who recently celebrated 30 years of being vegan, took to social media yesterday to reveal his generous plan.

Among the groups receiving money are Mercy For Animals, The Humane Society of the U.S., The Humane League, The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, PETA, and Animal Equality.

Response

Moby’s Instagram was flooded with praise – following his post, people called him ‘amazing’, a ‘champion’, and an ‘inspiration’.

User orionarrowblue said: “You are a beautiful being. Thank you.”

Marytheseed added: “Wow. Wow. I didn’t realize you donate all profits. How amazing, generous, and selfless.

“You’re an inspiration.”

Example

Instagram user earthmedicinemama also praised the musician’s move, calling on other celebrities to follow suit.

They wrote: “Fantastic! If only all celebrities, vegan or not, who can clearly afford to part with… probably even a million dollars at the rate of earnings many of them make… each spread it throughout animal rescue/charities throughout the world, it would be such a better place for animals, humans, and mother earth [sic].

“Come on! Follow @Moby’s lead please!”
