Vegan yoga guru Koya Webb will be starring in new docu-drama Yoga Girls, which will premiere this weekend on Z Living network.
The famed yogi will be teaching principles of nonviolence through veganism in the Los Angeles-based series that will run for six weeks.
Yoga Girls will follow Webb and other yoga professionals as they compete to build client rosters.
Vegan
A vegan for 12 years, Webb follows the nonviolent principle of ahimsa.
She told VegNews: “Veganism is ahimsa in practice because you’re being kind and not harming your health, animals, or the planet.
“I’m vegan because I think it’s not only the most optimal nutrition for me, but also one of the best ways we can reduce our carbon footprint.
“By eating less meat and more fruit and vegetables, the world could prevent several million deaths per year, cut global-warming emissions substantially, and save billions of dollars annually in healthcare costs and climate damage.”
The celebrity yoga instructor has also initiated a movement in which she teaches veganism as the main principle to achieving balance – called ‘Get Loved Up’.
The new show will run every Sunday, starting this weekend.
