Plant Based News has teamed up with sustainability experts to share content about zero waste and low impact lifestyles.

Followers of these philosophies work towards reducing their impact and waste as close to zero as possible – which can seem challenging in a world full of single-use plastics and wasteful packaging.

PBN is collaborating with Immy Lucas – aka Sustainably Vegan – Founder of the Low Impact Movement, as well as Zero Waste Club, a plastic-free online shop that delivers food and plastic free essentials all over the UK.

Reducing waste

As part of the collaboration, PBN will be publishing videos, recipes, and articles by these leaders in the movement – all aimed at making it easier to live a more sustainable life.

“I’m really excited that platforms like PBN are beginning to share more Low Impact work that directly intersects with the plant-based movement, and I’m incredibly grateful that I get to be a part of that,” said Immy Lucas.

“Waste isn’t just something that ends up on beaches far away from our everyday anymore. Plastic pollution is causing cascading ecological collapse within our oceans and breaking down into microplastics which inevitably has entered our food chain. The waste pandemic has reached a point at which we need to stop and consider the way we consume, otherwise, there may be no way back.”

‘Information is powerful’

“The more we consume, the more destruction we cause, so if we are going to consume, better to do it without creating so many negative products such as waste that is not friendly for the earth,” added Pawan Saunya, Co-founder of the Zero Waste Club. “Information is powerful – we’re delighted to be collaborating with PBN on spreading the zero waste/low impact message.”

PBN Co-founder Robbie Lockie said: “We’re really honored that these amazing thought-leaders are working with us to spread a low impact message. We have already started sharing video content via Facebook and Instagram, and articles on our website.

“We will be publishing more content soon in our PBN Learn section – a resource of timeless information to answer your vegan and environmental questions.”
