Piers Morgan has baited vegans once more in a new Twitter post.

The controversial T.V. host shared an image of himself branding a giant sausage roll which he believed is ‘Britain’s biggest’.

He took the opportunity to insult vegan meat, branding it ‘nonsense’ and praising the ‘real meat’ in his roll.

‘Real meat’

Captioning the image, Morgan wrote: “Now THIS is what I call a sausage roll.

“Apparently it’s Britain’s biggest.. 40cm long & 1.3kg in weight… and packed with real meat not that Greggs vegan nonsense.”

Response

The post was met with a mixed response, with vegan author and poker player Zachary Elwood saying: “Thank you for promoting vegan food and ideals more than anyone I know.”

One Twitter user said: “You were starting to redeem yourself, if people don’t like eating meat that’s their choice.”

Another simply added: “I’m not even a vegan but Greggs vegan sausage rolls BANG!! Better than the actual sausage ones.”

Most respondents insulted Morgan, with one saying: “Here is Britain’s biggest sausage roll… In his hands is a pork-based pastry.”

Piers Morgan and vegans

Morgan often criticizes vegans, going as far as branding them ‘terrorists’ during an episode of Good Morning Britain in 2018.

Speaking to activist Joey Carbstrong, Morgan said: “I think the problem with the vegan movement at the moment, is that a lot of people might be tempted to take up a more vegan-based diet, but they hate this type of vegan terrorism stuff.”

He has also blasted vegans for ‘murdering plants’, once Tweeting: “Just been on a savage vegan-blocking rampage. Can’t be done with radical kale-munchers abusing me for eating meat. Especially given the way they murder poor unsuspecting plants all day long.”
