Newlyweds Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have been sent ‘Mr. and Mrs.Vegan‘ bathrobes as a wedding gift.
The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on December 23. Media outlets picking up the news after their friend Conrad Carr posted Instagram stories of the pair cutting a wedding cake.
Wedding confirmation
The pair later confirmed the news on their own Instagram pages, posting an image of themselves embracing. Cyrus also revealed that her ivory off-the-shoulder gown was created by top designer Vivienne Westwood.
She captioned an image of the couple kissing: “This is probably our one – millionth kiss ….” Another image was captioned with their wedding date: “12.23.18.” Hemsworth shared the same picture, which was simply accompanied by the words ‘ my love’.
Vegan inspiration
The bathrobes were sent to Cyrus and Hemsworth by animal rights charity PETA, who described the pair – who were respectively crowned PETA’s Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity of 2015 and 2016 – as ‘outspoken animal advocates’.
“Miley Cyrus’ and Liam Hemsworth’s compassion have inspired countless people to help animals and go vegan,” PETA President, Ingrid Newkirk, said in a statement.
“PETA wishes them many more years of promoting kindness to animals together.”
