Animal
advocate and musician Moby took to Twitter on Sunday, informing over 1.2
million followers that he’s ‘vegan for the animals’.
‘Go vegan’
The celebrity
shared an image from a gathering of the Physician’s Committee For Responsible
Medicine (PCRM) at The White House on Friday, in which hundreds of plant-based
doctors were photographed standing behind a banner which read ‘go vegan’.
Moby’s
caption read: “1,000 vegan doctors from @physicianscommittee gathered outside
Cheetolini’s White House.
“I’m #Vegan
for the animals, but it doesn’t hurt that a vegan diet reduces your chances of
getting cancer, heart disease, and diabetes by at LEAST 50%.”
Advocacy
This is not
the first time the animal advocate has shared the vegan message with his social
media following.
In May, he
took to Instagram to share an image of an elephant, with a caption which read: “We
can choose kindness or cruelty, compassion or indifference.”
He has also
previously shown support the PCRM, having put his record collection up for sale
in June to benefit the health focused non-profit.
