Celebrity actor and producer Mark Wahlberg, formerly known as Marky Mark, says he’s been feeling ‘really good’ on a plant-based diet.

The Fighter star made the comments in a recent interview with Men’s Health after he was asked by a fan: “Bro, do you fast?”

‘It’s been nice’

Speaking about his old diet while shooting films, Wahlberg explained how he used to eat eight meals a day: “I was just eating chicken, fish, steak, pork, I found myself towards the end of the movie, six months in, having a leaky gut…

“And I’ve been eating just plant-based for about three weeks now and I gotta tell you, I feel really good. It’s been nice.”

On Instagram, Wahlberg also shared a video of his breakfast, featuring vegan pancakes, Ezekiel bread with almond butter, and a green juice, to his 14.5 million followers.

Wahlburgers

Back in 2018, the celeb and his two brothers Donnie and Paul, added the Impossible Burger to their restaurant chain Wahlburgers.

According to Chef Paul Wahlberg, customers at the restaurant had been asking for a tasty meatless option.

He said: “We’re excited to announce our latest menu addition and can’t wait for guests to taste the popular Impossible Burger with our very own Wahlburgers twist.”
