Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton has been honored by GQ Germany.
The vegan athlete has scooped the Creativity & Design gong for 2019.
He will receive the prize at a star-studded ceremony on November 7 in Berlin.
Fashion design
Hamilton launched his own line of clothes last year in collaboration with American fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger.
The line, called TommyXLewis, featured T-shirts, hoodies, jackets, and other items.
The racer, who is planning a career in fashion after his racing career ends, said before the launch: “I’m so heavily involved in the whole design process. I really designed this collection.”
‘Honored’
Hamilton took to Instagram to share the news with his 13 million followers.
He wrote: “Thanks GQ Germany. I’m honored to be included in your Men Of The Year 2019 list. Excited to collect the award in Berlin with you very soon.”
