Celebrity tattoo artist, make-up boss and vegan Kat Von D is asking wedding guests to donate money to a vegan charity – instead of spending it on gifts.

The star revealed that the charity in question is Animal Equality – a leading global animal protection agency, that promotes a vegan message.

A spokesperson for the charity said: “We’d like to wish one of the most beautiful power couples a huge congratulations on their upcoming wedding.”

While Von D legally tied the knot with partner Leafer Seyer in an intimate ceremony in February, the pair will celebrate their vows with a lavish do.

Most epic

Speaking about the upcoming nuptials, Von D said she wanted to host ‘the most epic vegan wedding ever’.

Taking to Instagram, she posted: “We love the idea of showing the world that you don’t have to sacrifice luxury/quality by choosing not to exploit animals in any way.

“We are also excited about not having a gift registry and instead have guests who might be inspired to gift us, donate to one of our favourite animal rights organizations (AnimalEquality) on our behalf instead.”
