High profile vegan activist Joey Carbstrong says new documentary Dominion has given him strength and made him even more motivated to protect animals.

The feature-length film directed by Chris Delforce and co-produced by Earthlings Director Shaun Monson focuses on how animals are used and abused in Australia, and features footage from abattoirs and farms.

Carbstrong is currently touring around Australia, promoting the movie at screenings.

‘Powerful’

Writing on social media, Carbstrong said: “To say this film is powerful is an understatement.

“I’ve never been more disgusted with humanity at the way we dominate, subdue, mutilate and murder the innocent and vulnerable beings we share this earth with.

“The first two times I watched the film feelings of anger, sadness and disbelief ran through me, but there’s been a shift.”

Motivated

According to the activist, after watching the film for the fifth time, it gave him ‘strength’.

He wrote: “I felt motivated, more motivated than ever to defend and protect these beings. I felt motivated to spread this message and change the situation of those animals.

“This movie has lit a fire in each of us and that fire is spreading rapidly. Vegans everywhere are standing up and are demanding justice all over Australia.

“We’ve had enough and the time is now to take action and leave these disgraceful industries in the history books forever.”
