Social media celeb Samantha Ravndahl has announced she is transitioning to a plant-based diet.

Taking to YouTube to discuss her decision, the make-up artist who has more than 2.4 million followers, said: “I’ve been researching and transitioning into eating primarily plant-based.”

Ravndahl went on to say that her dietary shift has been ‘A+’, explaining: “I’m just taking my time and enjoying switching over the foods that I eat.”

Vegan?

Addressing her audience’s question on whether she will be embracing the vegan lifestyle completely, the social media maven said that she will be sticking to plant-based only.

“This is such a difficult thing,” she explains. “The reality of it is that if I was strictly just a consumer and I wasn’t a public figure, I probably would be cruelty-free.

“The reality of the [beauty] industry I work in is that there are a lot of companies that are not cruelty-free, or they are owned by companies that are not cruelty-free.

“I find it really difficult to take a meaningful stance on that without getting a ridiculous amount of backlash,” the Instagram celeb said, referring to the ‘financial wellbeing’ that these non-cruelty-free companies offer her.
