Top musician DJ Khaled received an incredible response as he spoke about veganism during a recent concert, according to an attendee.
Performing at Beyonce and Jay-Z’s ‘On the Run II Tour’ event in Foxborough, MA, last weekend, the musician spoke to the crowd about choosing a plant-based diet for health reasons.
He then asked the 40,000-strong crowd: “Do we have any vegans in the house?”
‘Incredible response’
Grace Han is the Founder and Managing Director of TACN, a charity aimed at improving animal welfare in China and promoting a healthy and cruelty-free lifestyle worldwide. She attended the concert and told Plant Based News about her experience.
“I was dancing away to the beats with my colleagues and friends,” she said, “then we heard him shouting out ’22 Days Nutrition’ and ‘any vegans in the house’. We all screamed and cheered, the response was incredible from the audience.
“Given how popular veganism has become, I wouldn’t be surprised if there were many more vegans in the house with us. The whole concert was amazing, the vegan shoutout was definitely one of the major highlights for me.”
