Impressive Cast Announced For New BBC Film About Veganism

The cast has been announced for Simon Amstell’s first film Carnage: Swallowing The Past, which will launch on BBC iplayer this Spring. Commenting on the film, Amstell said: “I have written and directed a film about veganism. I’m sorry.”

The film is set in a utopian 2067 and “looks back at a time when human beings ate other animals. In the future, this will be considered an unimaginable bloodbath of unnecessary suffering,” reports Chortle.

It features Alex Lawther, Joanna Lumley, Martin Freeman, Dame Eileen Atkins, Lindsay Duncan, Gemma Jones, John Macmillan, Linda Basset, and Marwan Rizwan. Playing themselves are Lorraine Kelly, Kirsty Wark, Vanessa Feltz and JME.
