Television and radio presenter, Fearne Cotton, best known for her appearances on the comedy show Celebrity Juice, is to release a vegan cookbook later this year.

Titled ‘Happy Vegan’, the cookbook, which features 100 plant-based recipes, is set to release on October 3, 2019.

‘An imperfect vegan’

“If you want to pack more veg into your diet while saving the planet, then going vegan could be for you – and with Fearne’s quick and easy recipes suitable for the busiest of cooks, you’ll find it’s really simple, too!” the book’s description reads.

“But in true Fearne-Cotton-kitchen-style, there are no strict rules in this book. With Fearne, you can be an IMPERFECT vegan.”

Cotton, who is not vegan herself due to eating dairy and fish, describes her diet as ‘mainly vegan’.

“Thrilled to reveal Happy Vegan! The aim is to help and inspire you to eat plant-based food, be it full time, part time or, well, any time! Whether you’re a fully-fledged and dedicated vegan, dabbling or completely new to vegan food, I hope you enjoy,” Cotton wrote on Instagram

Going ‘the whole hog’

In an interview with The Independent back in 2017, Cotton said: “I think I love the idea of [going vegan] and for sustainability and the planet, it’s amazing.

“But I try to do my bit. I eat a lot of vegan dishes because I love getting loads of veg and pulses in my diet and I really enjoy vegan cooking and eating vegan dishes. But I don’t think I could go the whole hog.
