A permaculture farm and eco-retreat is no longer slaughtering animals after the owners heard a speech by activist James Aspey.

According to Aspey he recently gave the talk at the facility in Costa Rica.

He spoke about issues around animal agriculture, its impact on the environment, animals, and rainforest destruction among other topics.

Changed perspective

“The husband listened to my talk which was translated for him into Spanish, and he shared everything he learned with his wife,” Aspey revealed on social media.

“She wrote a three-page letter to us saying how much her perspective had shifted and that she had always loved animals and hated the slaughter process ever since she was a child.

“She didn’t realize there was a way to live without killing. Now she does.”
