YouTuber Ethan Dolan has revealed that going vegan was ‘one of the easiest things’ he’d ever done.

Ethan – who is part of an American comedy duo with brother Grayson known as The Dolan Twins – made the comment in an Instagram post he shared with his 9 million followers.

Going vegan

He wrote: “When going vegan I think the hardest part was my ego giving up ‘the right to eat whatever I wanted’.

“As I sat on that thought I realized doing that is simply taking away animal’s rights to live free lives. I personally could never kill an animal so I wasn’t going to let other people do it for me and then just buy them at the store or a restaurant.”

‘Seamless transition’

He added: “The transition from eating whatever I wanted to being strictly vegan was actually seamless and one of the easiest things I’ve ever done. I had fun finding my new favorite meals and vegan alternatives of my old favs.

“It feels good knowing about everything I’m putting in my body and exactly how it’s going to make me feel. It also feels good knowing that I’m giving back to the planet that has given me so much.”

More than 1.1 million people have already liked the post – which also included a recipe for vegan pancakes mades from oats and banana.

The post – and recipe – garnered some positive feedback, with one fan saying: “Aww we love a vegan man.”

Another simply added: “Honestly, I might go vegan.”
