Celebrity singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding has pledged to donate $15,000 to Support + Feed – a vegan charity helping feed those in need during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Love Me Like You Do star teamed up with Postmates – a popular food delivery service in the U.S – after stating she ‘powered her studio sessions’ with local veggie and vegan food when working on her latest album.

‘Favorite spots’

“When she’s in the states, Ellie definitely has her favorite spots. She always has to get Veggie Grill and her regional go-to’s are Red Bamboo in New York, Crossroads Kitchen and Gracias Madre in L.A, and Planta in Miami,” Postmates said in a recent blog.

“New to veggie eating? Ellie’s favorites are kale salads and ‘anything fried’ so maybe start there. Whatever you’re craving, you can find it on Postmates.”

Billie Eilish’s mom Maggie Baird, who created Support + Feed, took to Instagram to welcome the donation, stating: “Thank you, Ellie Goulding and Postmates. Congratulations on your wonderful new album and for donating to Support + Feed.

“Check out how she eats plant-based while recording!”

Is Ellie Goulding Vegan?

Back in 2018, Goulding revealed in an interview with The Cut that she was ‘trying to be a full vegan’ and vowed to never eat meat or fish again.

“I was a vegetarian all the way through my teens as well. I’ll definitely never eat fish or meat again,” the singer said.

“In being vegetarian, I realized I could be an athlete and not need meat for the protein. There’s actually more protein in greens than meat.”

It is not confirmed whether Goulding is still trying to be vegan or if she has adopted the lifestyle.
