Celebrity comedian and TV presenter Ellen DeGeneres has told her 78.5 million Twitter followers to ‘eat less meat‘ or eat ‘none’ at all.
The star, who used to be vegan but admitted to eating fish and eggs last year, said she had noticed lots of people talking about reducing their meat consumption – which she dubbed as a ‘fantastic idea’.
Be neat. Eat less meat. It’s good for the planet, for the animals, and you. @WATWbook #wearetheweather #eatdifferently #EatLessMeat #BeNeatEatLessMeat #ByeBye pic.twitter.com/BOA32PUHbk

‘Try to eat less of it’
“It’s a great idea for the planet. It’s a great idea for your health. it’s a great idea for the animal’s health, so eat less meat,” Ellen said.
“Unless you’re a vegan and you don’t eat meat already, then good for you, so you don’t even need to pay attention to this.
“But for the people who do eat meat, just try to eat less of it, just maybe eat it less, once a week or none a week. Or just if you eat it every night, don’t eat it every night – eat it less than that.”
‘Better for you’
Ellen ended the video stating: “The point is it’s better for you and it’s better for the environment and for the animals.
“Eat less meat.”
