Vegan activist and Youtuber Earthling Ed, who has made several appearances on major TV programs to defend the vegan lifestyle, as well as giving speeches at universities around the UK, has recorded a TEDx talk on veganism.
Ed said he was ‘incredibly honored’ for the opportunity, writing on his Instagram: “I’ve learned so much from watching other TEDx talks in the past and I really hope that my talk will be able to inspire others in the same way that other people’s talks have inspired me.”
Spreading compassion towards all non-human animals
Between October 2017 and October 2018, Ed had over 33,000 people sign up to go vegan through his online content – he is also the co-founder and co-director of Surge, an animal rights organization that aims to spread compassion towards all non-human animals.
As part of his advocacy, Ed released the documentary Land of Hope and Glory – an exposé on the ‘hidden truth’ behind UK animal farming, which has over 245,000 views on Youtube.
The TEDx video will be uploaded online in the next three to six months on Ted’s Youtube channel, which has over 12 million subscribers.
