Celebrity drag queen and TV personality Courtney Act says she would replace all animal products with plant-based alternatives if she ‘ruled the world’.

The star, who won reality TV show Celebrity Big Brother U.K. back in 2018, made the comment in a recent interview with Closer for Pride month.

‘Encourage empathy’

“I’d make everyone live by the rule ‘treat others how they would like to be treated’ to encourage empathy and listening between people,” Act said.

“And I’d replace all animal products with plant-based products. I’m vegan – and there are such great alternatives.”

‘Acceptance and understanding’

The former Drag Race contestant also talks about the importance of Pride – which she dubs as ‘the antidote to shame’ – and how much progress has been made in ‘accepting and celebrating’ the LGBTQ community.

“It’s being so proud of who you are and reminding those who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or queer that it’s okay to be that way,” the star explained.

“[Pride] is now so big in the U.K., and that’s brilliant because even though it’s only one month a year, I think it seeps into people’s subconscious and breeds acceptance and understanding, helping to bring about real change.”
