Guardians Of The Galaxy actor Chris Pratt has come in for criticism after posting images of meat online and bragging that the animals he ate ‘had a good life’.

Pratt rears his own sheep, who he then eats. In a video on Instagram, he said the animals have a good life, then just ‘wake up dead one in [his] freezer’.

The actor posted an image of animal parts on Instagram, writing: “Look at all this glorious food! We will eat off him for a month.

“His wool is becoming yarn as we speak. He lived a very good life. He was groomed and shorn, his hooves medicated, de wormed, no antibiotics necessary.

“Surrounded by laughing loving humans, including children to whom they provided such joy. Nuzzled, pet and loved every day. No stressful travel to his final destination. Trauma Free.

“Just a touch of a usda certified wand to his head and he goes to sleep. The other sheep don’t even notice.”

A number of fans criticized Pratt for his post – with some calling him out for being ‘disgusting’.

One wrote: “Chris Pratt, there’s no HUMANE way to kill an animal. You’re despicable.”

Another added: “How can you love something and provide care for it and then kill it?”

One comment went further, saying: “You murdered someone [referring to the lamb] and now you are bragging about it on social media.”
