Chelsea Manning has revealed to her 316,000 Twitter followers that she wants to learn to cook more veg-heavy food this year.

The US soldier also revealed that she owns vegan cookbook Thug Kitchen: Eat Like You Give A F*ck.

Learning

Manning was released from prison earlier this year, having served nearly seven years of a 35 year sentence, after she leaked a series of documents known as the Iraq and Afghan war logs to Wikileaks.

Since then she has built up her following and often shares observations and opinions online.

Earlier today she wrote: “For 2018, I’m learning how to cook vegetarian/vegan meals.”

‘Not committing’

One user responded: “Ahhhh!!! A new book actually just came out from @WeAreVeganuary called How to Go Vegan and it’s seeming to be a really good resource if you wanna check it out!”

Manning said she currently has no plans to go vegan.

She wrote: “I’m not committing myself to a diet, just integrating more veg food in my life.”
