Celebrity actor, director, and producer Paul Wesley has urged his 4.1 million Twitter followers to ‘join’ him and ‘go vegan in 2021’.

The Vampire Diaries star often uses his platform to speak out about the environmental impacts of animal agriculture.

Last year, amid the series of Amazon fires, he said: “Ignorance is mocking vegetarianism/ veganism and then crying over a rain forest which is being burned to make room for more animal consumption.”

‘The greatest contributor to climate change’

More recently, Wesley told his fans: “Factory farming is, in my opinion, one of the most important issues of our time. If not the most important

“The unimaginable suffering imposed on living beings, the cause of numerous diseases/ pandemics, and the greatest contributor to climate change. Join me and go vegan in 2021.”

‘Help fight climate change’

Last month, Wesley responded to Vice-President Elect of the US Kamala Harris after she posted a meaty Thanksgiving recipe on Instagram

The star wrote: “How about we use veggie sausage instead of pork and help fight climate change?”

“How about we use veggie sausages instead of pork and help fight climate change”. OH DEAR, I think he should stick to acting and not get involved in issues he doesn’t understand.

Your judging him because he’s an actor like he’s not allowed to understand the problems our world face with climate change! Maybe it’s you that doesn’t understand for even making this comment! You don’t know the man all you know is that he’s an actor and because of that your judging him!

It is actually driven by economics and not a desire for more meat production. Spout how everyone is ignorant?

If you want to change closely held beliefs, there is only one way science says you can do it:
