Actor Nina Dobrev and Dancing With The Stars’ Julianne Hough have announced the launch of a vegan wine brand.

The celebrities’ brand, Fresh Vine Wine, is produced in Napa, California, and promises to compliment an ‘active lifestyle’.

Fresh Vine Wine

Hough said the friends’ ‘passion project’ has been a long time in the making, as she made the announcement via Instagram. She is a professional dancer on Dancing With The Stars, whilst Dobrev rose to fame for her role in the hit show The Vampire Diaries.

Their products are vegan, low in sugar and calories, as well as ‘keto-friendly’. Additionally, they are free from additives.

Fresh Vine Wine’s launch includes three wines, a Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon – with plans to unveil a Rosé ‘soon’.

Nina Dobrev and Julianne Hough’s active lifestyle

‘Whether you work out five times a week or you’ve recently discovered a newfound love for fitness, living an active lifestyle is important to keep your mind and body in shape.

‘We think that the trick to staying active is finding something you enjoy.

‘We created Fresh Vine Wine with the intention of finding a balance between your active routine and enjoying those other moments with your friends with a glass of delicious wine that you can count on complementing the work that you put in without the sacrifice’, the pair said.

Celebrity wine brands

Dobrev and Hough aren’t the first celebrities to unveil vegan wine in recent years.

They follow in the footsteps of Cameron Diaz, and Cara, Chloe, and Poppy Delevingne who unveiled their own brands last year.

Is wine vegan?

Whilst lots of wines are vegan, some contain non-vegan agents such as eggs, gelatin, and isinglass. Moreover, vegan wines aren’t always labeled as such.
