Animal activist and rapper, Gaia’s Eye, has gone viral after calling out Canada Goose for selling ‘dog fur fashion’.
The thirty-second-long rap took place in one of Canada Goose’s outlet stores, causing security guards to promptly remove the activist, and try to stop those filming.
‘Murdered in the grip of steel jaws’
Gaia’s Eye said: “Do you people even see these jackets made out of dogs? Wild puppies who’ve been murdered in the grip of steel jaws, or starved when their mothers never came home alive.
“Oh now here comes security to kick me outside, well you can go and throw me out, just know I ain’t finished yet. ‘Cause we about to go home, upload this to the internet n’ show those animal lovers out there the truth. And take it from a Canadian – f***k Canada Goose.
The video is aimed at celebrities said to support the fur industry, including one of Toronto’s most known rappers, Drake, and Justin Trudeau – Canada’s current Prime Minister.
‘Destroy dog fur fashion’
Inspired by the rap, two separate fundraisers on Facebook and GoFundMe have raised over $1,000 to help ‘destroy dog fur fashion’.
The fundraiser aims to broadcast the anti-fur message to customers in the store and directly into the social media news feeds of Canada Goose’s prime demographic.
