Queen legend Brian May has announced he will stay plant-based during February after ‘loving’ Veganuary.

The musician, who regularly speaks out about animal-rights, shared his Veganuary experience with his 2.1 million Instagram followers, stating he would have tried it sooner if he’d realized how delicious a plant-based diet can be.

‘Easier than I expected’

“VEGANUARY !!! Yes! It’s done – and I loved it. Not a morsel of meat or fish or dairy passed my lips. It was so much easier than I expected and gave me so much,” the star said.

“So I am now plunging in for a Vegan February!!! I certainly don’t feel like giving up this new journey of discovery. Who’s with me? How did you fare, out there?”

Veganuary

This year saw a record number of people sign up for Veganuary – the month-long pledge to abstain from consuming animal products- as it exceeded its 2020 goal of 400,00 signups on the last day of January.

The initiative has attracted several high-profile celebrities including Dragon’s Den star Deborah Meaden, British actor Louisa Connolly-Burnham, and more than 10 cast and crew members from the UK’s favorite soap Eastenders.
