Damning footage obtained by Viva! Campaigns taken on an intensive factory farm in West England has been released, prompting the BBC (above) and The Daily Mail to provide coverage.

In the Somerset farm, ‘fattening’ pigs destined for the dinner table are shown to be living in shockingly squalid conditions (see video below). The disturbing footage reveals both dead and living pigs lying in their own excretia.

Consumers will be shocked to discover that this farm is the source of a green energy power plant. The farm supplies slurry to the power plant to be turned into biogas, which is burned to generate power for or fed into the national supply to provide thousands of homes with green energy.

Please consider contacting Good Energy regarding this matter.

Sadly, as bad as it is, what was filmed at Lambrook is not illegal in Britain. In fact, factory farming is the norm in this country. Don’t support this barbaric industry! Try vegan: www.viva.org.uk/30dayvegan
