Vegan, animal lover, and talk show host Ellen Degeneres shared an Instagram post
originally made by animal activist James Aspey this week.
The post
The post,
which Degeneres reposted after it was featured by Instagram account AnimalOnEarth includes footage of
a young girl playing a small accordion – commonly known as a concertina – in a
pasture.
The girl is greeted by a seemingly happy ‘stampede’ of cows, who appear to have come for the music.
Aspey’s
caption reads: “Just some
cows enjoying the finer things in life.”
‘Let’s
chill’
James
responded graciously to the post share – with what appears to be an implicit
request for a talk-show invite.
He took to Instagram
to write: “Wussup @theellenshow!
“This is
the closest I’ve been to getting on your show.
“Let’s
chill and talk about veganism and animal rights sometime!
“Thank you
so much for all the good you do for this world!”
Protecting
animals
Degeneres
is a self-proclaimed vegan, and founder animal welfare organization The Ellen
Degeneres Animal Wildlife Fund.
A statement
from Degeneres on the website reads: “I love animals, and I want to
protect them, especially when they’re endangered.
“We need
these incredible creatures and they need our love and compassion to help save
them.”
