Japanese chain YO! has launched a limited-edition vegan Japanese Fried Chicken (JFC) Festive Feast.

According to the eatery, which is best known for its sushi, eating fried chicken has become a Japanese tradition.

YO! says it wants to bring the tradition to the UK, and has launched two fried chicken boxes, one of which is suitable for vegans.

The vegan box includes vegan nuggets, YO! fries, a sweet and spicy chilli JFC dipping sauce, miso-coated sweetcorn & vegan mayo slaw.

‘Unique addition’

“We’re excited to bring a Japanese festive favorite to our menus this Christmas, and we’re continuously looking for new ways to grow and expand our menu beyond sushi,” said Mike Lewis, Executive Chef at YO!.

“We believe this unique addition will be a huge hit with our guests.”

The limited-edition vegan Festive Feast box is available now until December 31 in selected YO! sites, costing £8.50.
