Plant Based News has announced the winner of its competition with online learning institute eCornell.

PBN partnered eCornell to give away a place on one of its courses worth more than $1,100. The Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate course, which is headed up by T. Colin Campbell, is offered online – meaning you can do it from anywhere in the world.

Video presentations with over 20 experts’ research and perspectives are provided to emphasize why following a plant-based diet and lifestyle is optimal for health – including the prevention and reversal of diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and cancer.

Winner

The winner of the competition is Emily Lavieri-Scull.

“I’ve been interested in learning more about nutrition for a while now as an avid vegan cook and as someone interested in food systems and food justice, in which nutrition certainly plays a part,” she told PBN.

“I’m really excited to soon be able to incorporate information about nutrition into my work and advocacy. You can follow along on my Instagram profile.”

Plant-based videos

The competition coincided with a new PBN YouTube video series, which will feature more than 30 plant-based doctors.

The series was created in association with T. Colin Campbell, Switch4Good, UK Plant-Based Health Professionals, the Physicians Committee, Blue Horizon, and the Plantrician Project.
