California-based Santa Barbara Chocolate has released vegan cocoa butter chips for dairy-free cooking.

The chips, made from 100 percent fresh pressed cocoa butter, can be eaten straight, or measured into baking recipes.

The chocolate brand has launched the plant-based treats in a bid to boost its presence in ‘this expanding market’.

The vegan chips are 100 percent cacao fruit product and have no added fillers such as shea butter, milk, casein, or sugar.

Santa Barbara Chocolate Company co-founder Jason Vishnefske said: “As a bulk chocolate supplier to chocolatiers and manufacturers, we are trusted to sell the best cocoa and chocolates.

“Our customers find that our edible cocoa butter is top quality pressed from only de-shelled cocoa beans.”
